Very few general dentists have the skill level to both place and restore dental implants. Dr. Duke H. Kim is a Fellow at the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and has been placing and restoring dental implants for many years. He also performs additional procedures such as bone grafts and sinus elevations. Having one dentist for the entire implant process is a great benefit to our patients, as he can position the implant exactly how it will be best suited for the final restoration. Dr. Kim uses dental implants for patients who want to replace a single missing tooth or for more advanced, complex cases where he will actually create an entire smile using implant-fixed dentures or implant-fixed bridges. An implant replaces the natural root of the tooth. Once it is placed, the possibilities of smile design are almost endless!
