Do you get frustrated or embarrassed when your conventional dentures fall out or slip while you’re eating? All-on-4 treatment is an alternative that can eliminate this problem. Set up a consultation at our office to determine if you’re a good candidate for this concept.

What Are All-on-4 Implants?

All-on-4 dental implants are also called permanent dentures because they’re secured to your jaw. They restore the natural feel and appearance of your smile after losing teeth because of gum disease, decay, trauma or aging. You can even care for them like your real teeth.

All-on-4 Implant: How Does It Work?

All-on-4 implants involve permanently securing four dental implants to a full denture or bridge on the upper or lower jaw. The dentist starts the treatment with light sedation to insert four small posts into the bone: two in the front and two in the back. The rear posts are tilted at 45 degrees so that they have a deeper anchor and better stability.

The surgical sites from inserting the posts will heal fast because they’re made of bone-compatible titanium. During the healing process, you’ll use a temporary denture, and the lab will make a permanent appliance based on the color and shape of your real teeth. Then, our All-on-4 dentist will permanently secure the device.

In some cases, we can secure All-on-4 implants in only a day. Call us to learn more about teeth-in-a-day service.

What Happens Before the Procedure and During Recovery?

It’s important to know what to expect so that you can prepare for the All-on-4 before and after steps. The dentist will deal with any identified health concerns after your initial exam. Tooth removal may be necessary, for example.

After inserting the posts, your dentist will give you instructions for caring for your gums and jaw to prevent an infection as they heal. You’ll be able to practice normal dental hygiene after you get the permanent implant.

How Much Are All-on-4 Implants?

There’s no specific All-on-4 dental implants cost. It will depend on how many preparatory services you need and your insurance coverage. However, the All-on-4 concept requires fewer implants and is less invasive than conventional implant surgery. Find out more during your consultation.

All-on-4 and Traditional Implants: What Are the Differences?

All-on-4 dental implants only need four implants on one full dental arch. Traditional implants need up to 10 implants on one arch. Also, this revolutionary concept eliminates the bone grafting and extended recovery that’s often necessary with the traditional implants procedure.

How Do All-on-4 and Conventional Dentures Differ?

Contrary to traditional dentures, you don’t have to use adhesives for All-on-4 dentures. You get more stability too because the implant posts are secured in your jaw. Another difference is that All-on-4 dentures can preserve your jawline shape.
